I am a Minnesota native and have lived in Colorado for over 10 years. I love being outside and enjoy running, hiking, cycling and yoga. I believe in the power of movement to overall wellbeing and the added benefit when done outdoors! On the trails with my husband and dog Mabel is where you will most likely find me.
I am a social worker at my core and got into the field after realizing my passion to serve and work with at-risk youth. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and hold degrees from Bethel University in Minnesota and Colorado State University. I am also a Certified Nutrition Therapist and studied with the Nutrition Therapy Institute. I have over 10 years of experience and have worked with a diverse population of adolescents and young adults in a variety of settings including residential treatment, outpatient, in-home, experiential and outdoor therapeutic programs and substance abuse treatment. I specialize in working with anxiety disorders, depression, disordered eating, body image and trauma. I am trained in EMDR, DBT, Acudetox and use principles from CBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness practices, empowerment and trauma informed approaches.
