About Steven

Born and raised in Colorado Springs, I am one of the true natives! I developed an interest in helping early in life. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Notre Dame, then Master’s and Doctoral degrees at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have many years of clinical experience and have worked in a variety of settings, including college mental health, community mental health and the United States Air Force as a civilian contractor. I live in northern Colorado Springs with my wife, son and our two badly behaved dogs!

I have developed specialties in treating anxiety, depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I have developed a specialty in recent years treating combat-related PTSD. I also have strong experience in treating obsessive-compulsive disorder, childhood-related disorders (such as oppositional defiance or conduct disorder), and personality disorders.

Why work with Steven?

Through the diversity of my life and clinical experiences, I have learned to tremendously value the importance of the relationship in therapy. I strive to built a strong relationship and to truly understand each individual, couple and family I work with. I do not see therapy as a “one-size-fits-all” approach and tailor treatment to the individual in my office. I have a broad variety of experiences and respect each person I work with.
