About Krystal

I was a military brat and spent most of my childhood in MI. I enlisted in the Air Force at 21 years old and separated after my son was born at the end of my first contract. I have three children and one grandchild. My partner is also a veteran, enlisted Army, and he and I have 2 dogs, a cat, and a bird together. I love to travel and explore new places, reading, hiking, listening to music, and painting. I am currently in the process of commissioning into the Colorado Air National Guard as a clinical social worker.

I became a social worker because I enjoy helping people. My first reason to pursue clinical social work was because I wanted to help my fellow military members and their families. I have had the privilege of working with civilian and military families, individuals with disabilities, adults, children, military members, veterans, and groups across the age span, socioeconomic backgrounds, and with many different issues/traumas. I completed my first bachelor’s degree in Human Services Management from University of Phoenix, my second bachelor’s in Social Work at University of West Florida, and my master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Louisville. I have been trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness based CBT.

Why work with Krystal?

I have been a social worker for over 10 years, I utilize Trauma Focused and Mindfulness based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques. Each person I work with receives individualized plans that are designed by the individual and myself, to meet the goals the client has set for themselves. I have specialized in trauma throughout my career, and I have worked with individuals (adults and children), couples, and families.
