About Sam

I am originally from Iowa but now call Colorado Springs home after having spent around 20 years here. I have three daughters all under the age of 10 and two of those are twins. I enjoy spending time with my girls, going to the zoo, jumping on a trampoline, listening to music, going to see live music, swimming, reading, spending time with family/friends, and engaging in the great outdoors of Colorado.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I obtained my undergraduate degree from St. Olaf where I majored in psychology and sociology. I am an alum of the Indiana University Master of Social Work program. I obtained my clinical license in 2017 while working for a local community mental health center. I have worked with people since 1996 starting as a mental health care technician, residential care coordinator, case manager, clinician in a hospital ER and inpatient psychiatric setting, therapist, and presently I am a Clinical supervisor. I enjoy working with adults of all ages. I have worked with individuals who are developmentally disabled and adults on the sensory processing disorder spectrum. I am comfortable working with individuals who experience depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, issues of addiction, and view my interactions with others from a trauma-based lens.

Why work with Sam?

I enjoy meeting the client where they are and then to get to walk with them on their journey of positive change.
