Sheri has always had a passion for helping people with mental health issues. She received a bachelor’s degree in social work at Brigham Young University. A few years later she received a bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She worked a few years as a registered nurse with most of her time spent working as a psychiatric nurse. She then received a master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner from University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and then went on to get a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner post master’s certification. She is board certified as both a family and psychiatric nurse practitioner. She has an integrated approach to care and believes in the importance of having a therapeutic alliance with her patients. Her husband is a disabled veteran who served in the Navy, so she has a unique perspective on treating military and veteran populations. She treats all age ranges.
