My name is Tina Jordan, and I am Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and I am also Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I am originally from California, but due to my husband being in the military I have traveled and lived all over the United States and Europe as a military spouse. I have an appreciation for all cultures, and value different world views. On my downtime I enjoy watching movies, reading, traveling, and just spending time with family and friends.
I got into counseling because at one time I needed that support and found therapy to be life changing. So, I wanted to be able to help people and offer the same support I was given. I have counseling experience working with children, teens and adults in and out of the military community. I am currently seeing clients who are 18+ years old. I received my degree at Capella University, and I loved it! It allowed me to continue my master’s program while we PCS’d.
Why work with Tina?
I believe that everyone has the capacity to grow, change, and heal
My counseling orientation is Person Centered with leanings toward Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as Somatic Therapy. My approach is to establish a solid therapeutic relationship, and then utilize the most effective counseling models based on the client and their needs.
